Leigh Taylor joined NRECA in 2019 to lead the NRECA Executive Search team. The Executive Search team is comprised of experienced electric cooperative leaders who understand the capabilities and competencies needed in our executives and senior staff.

Leigh believes that aligning who we are with what we do, allows us to make a greater impact in the world. It is that philosophy that drives the NRECA Executive Search team in the work that they do to support our members’ boards and hiring teams to find their next leader.

NRECA Executive Search facilitates executive and senior staff searches for Distribution Cooperatives, G&Ts, Statewide associations as well as PPDs and PUDs. She has over 20 years of experience working with cooperative Boards of Directors, CEOs and employees across the country as both a lender and as an HR consultant.

Leigh also works with cooperatives on leadership transition, organizational effectiveness, executive performance management and coaching for executives and senior staff, in addition to teaching courses in the compensating and appraising CEOs for NRECA’s Director Education Program.

She holds an MBA, from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Business and a BS in Business from Wake Forest University. Leigh is a previous board member of Colorado Enterprise Fund and past volunteer with Dress for Success Colorado as a career/interview coach. When not traveling for work, she loves to travel for fun, especially with her kids, Zach, who attends University of Colorado, Boulder and Faybelle, who is in high school.
