Jean joined NRECA Executive Search in 2020 after retiring as the Human Resources Administrator at Basin Service Company, an oil field services company based in North Dakota. Since 2001, she has served as a Board member of North Central Electric Cooperative, based in Bottineau, ND. Jean also serves on the boards of Central Power Electric Cooperative and the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives.

She holds a BAS from Minot State University in Applied Management; an AAS in Electric Power Technology from Bismarck State College and is a NRECA certified Leadership Gold director.

She and her husband reside in Kramer, ND, where they run the Brandt Family Farm and Ranch.
