David Luttrell joined the NRECA Executive Search team in 2023 following a

40-year career in the electric utility industry, with the last 12 years as general

manager of Lincoln County Power in Nevada where he was extensively involved with employee development and succession planning. During his career, Dave was appointed by the Nevada governor to a committee to develop energy policy recommendations for the state and he has served on the boards of numerous cooperative organizations including Western United Electric Supply Corporation, Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, and the Nevada Rural Electric Association. At the statewide association, Dave, as its president, led the recruiting efforts for its current Executive Director. At Western United, Dave was instrumental in its expansion to serve Nevada cooperatives and at Arizona Electric Power, he was a member of the team that revised its policies and bylaws to meet the ever-changing landscape faced by rural electric cooperatives.

Prior to his tenure at Lincoln County Power, he held several positions, including project manager for a 500-kV transmission project and chief executive officer at a consulting firm serving rural electric utilities in the southwest. Dave has an MBA from Arizona State University and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Nevada at Reno.
