Chris Meyers

Chris Meyers has over 40 years of electric utility experience, including 15 years as the GM/CEO of the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC).
As GM/CEO of OAEC Chris had numerous legislative wins furthering the cooperative mission across Oklahoma. He successfully led a number of initiates on behalf of the association’s 30 electric cooperative members including state and federal lobbying and bill tracking, safety and loss control programs, a self-insured workers comp fund, statewide training of co-op employees and board members, a cooperative member employee credit union and publication of Oklahoma Living Magazine which reaches 360,000 homes and businesses each month.
During his tenure he worked closely with the association’s 30 co-op CEOs and boards as well as numerous professional associations encouraging cooperative unity and finding positions that all could support.
Chris served on numerous boards including the Grand River Dam Authority, Rural Enterprises Inc., The Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, and others.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University and his MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
Chris and his wife Lori live in Arcadia, Oklahoma. They have 3 children and two grandchildren.
